Stephan and Edwin met each other during their study Interactive Performance Design at the High School of Arts in Utrecht. For his graduation project Stephan developed the game design and concept of DIVE and Edwin supported on all the technical aspects. Nowadays both gentlemen are involved in the development of new experiences and applying new technology like, for example, the Virtual Reality headset. DIVE has now become a full-fledged experience and it's one you can't miss!.
Dive is all about giving the user the experience of flying. The player lays on a motion base which is connected to a big screen. The physical movements on the motion base are translated to movement in the 3D world, which is shown on the screen. The 3D world is a landscape where the player can fly through, and of course... is able to DIVE.
This installation is regularly seen at various festivals and it is exhibited at the Havenwerk Festival and Cinekid Medialab several times. In 2012 Dive was nominated for the Cinekid Audience Awards.
